Adejumoke Aderounmu, born on March 26, 1984,  in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, began her journey in a family of five at The Sacred Heart Hospital. 

Aderounmu was a renowned Nigerian actress celebrated for her captivating performances in Nollywood productions. She gained prominence for her roles as Esther and Kelechi in the beloved TV series “Jenifa’s Diary” and “Industreet.” Aderounmu’s talent shone brightly in the Nigerian film industry, particularly in her portrayal of Jummy Adams in the 2013 film “Alakada 2,” where she shared the screen with acclaimed actors such as Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Odunlade Adekola, and others.

Nollywood mourns the loss of Adejumoke Oreoluwa Aderounmu, renowned for her role as ‘Esther’ in the popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary. The sad news was announced by her brother, Adeola Aderounmu, via Instagram on Sunday. Alongside a burial arrangement flyer, he shared heartfelt words, “You are in a better place now my sister 💔.”

Aderounmu embarked on her acting journey in 2008 with the movie “Arugba,” under the direction of Tunde Kelani, starring alongside Bukky Wright and others. Her talent graced several projects, including Alakada 2 and Wings of My Dreams. Beyond acting, she was also a presenter and even produced her show, “The Lounge with Jumoke.”
